Monarch Faces Defamation Charge Over Drug-Related Allegations Involving His Son
On October 9, it was reported that His Royal Highness, Rotimi Dada (Ajumobi), publicly disowned Jeremiah Dada, claiming that the young man is his estranged son. According to HRH Dada, he divorced Jeremiah’s mother about fifteen years ago and has since had no relationship or contact with the boy.
Jeremiah Dada was earlier remanded in prison custody for allegedly supplying hard drugs to bandits. As the controversy surrounding the case deepens, HRH Rotimi Dada Ajumobi is scheduled to appear in court today, November 4, 2025, over charges of defamation and threats against a member of the Egbe Security Committee, who had raised concerns about the matter.
In a recorded conversation that has surfaced, HRH Ajumobi was heard admitting that his son is involved in the sale of drugs. Quoting him verbatim, he said:
“You that smoke Indian hemp are arresting someone that is selling Indian hemp...”
The matter is still unfolding, and more details will be provided as events develop.
