HON. AYO MAYEGUN CONGRATULATES HON. LEKE ABEJIDE & SEN. KARIMI ON TWO YEARS IN OFFICE — URGES INTERVENTION ON ODO-ERE ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE
On this day marking two years of legislative service, I wish to extend my warmest congratulations to two of our distinguished sons and national representatives — Hon. Elder Leke Abejide, Member representing Yagba Federal Constituency, and Distinguished Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, representing Kogi West Senatorial District.
Your collective journey so far has brought visible impact to our land — from human capital interventions to physical infrastructure and bold representation at the national level. Elder Leke Abejide, in particular, has continued to demonstrate a rare brand of people-centered leadership that reflects deep empathy and tireless service. Your efforts in education, empowerment, and community-based projects remain a beacon of what legislative representation should be.
Senator Karimi, your presence in the Senate has also given voice and strength to the aspirations of Kogi West, and I acknowledge your efforts in pushing for development across our zone.
However, as a concerned son of Yagba West, I must draw your esteemed attention to an issue that demands urgent intervention: the complete absence of a good access road in Odo-Ere, the headquarters of Yagba West LGA.
Today, not a single motorable road exists in Odo-Ere, and in areas like the Ipa community, gully erosion is rapidly threatening homes, farms, and livelihoods. It is a slow but dangerous disaster that we must not ignore.
I appeal to both of you, as men of vision and action, to jointly look into this matter with the seriousness it deserves. Ere Ward voted massively and faithfully, standing behind both of you in the hope that the dividends of democracy would reach us too.
Let the development winds blowing across Kogi West and Yagba not pass Odo-Ere by. As leaders who have shown capacity and commitment, I believe this is one call you will not delay to answer.
Once again, congratulations on your two-year milestone. May your remaining time in office bring even greater legacy projects and lasting impact to our people.
Hon. Ayo Mayegun
